Every 1500 litres of water requires 500 grams of simplesilver™. simplesilver™ comes in 500gm and 1kg tablets.

simplesilver™ is a combination of naturally occurring minerals and a very small amount of silver oxide. simplesilver™, placed in your hot tub gradually releases its minerals into the water, removing contaminants and limiting the formation of scale and corrosion, while inhibiting growth of bacteria.

It automatically controls the pH, alkalinity, total dissolved solids, scale, corrosion and bacteria and no other products are required.

simplesilver™ comes to you packaged in a rigid plastic container for ease of use. Dimensions - Length 22 cm x Width 18 cm x Depth 6 cm

simplesilver™ is certified and proven safe and used in many hot tub water treatment applications around the world, so you won't need to worry about it irritating your skin or having a negative impact on the environment!

The annual cost of a 500 gram simplesilver™ tablet is approximately the same or less than traditional hot tub treatment methods, but without all the hassle and hard work of getting your water treatment right.
  • Shipping and Handling included in the price. Delivery by courier, 2-6 business days.

Getting Started

As a first time simplesilver™ user, whether you have a new or existing hot tub, you will need to remove any contamination that may be in the pipes, jets or equipment. This may have occurred during the delivery process from the manufacturer or after having had insufficient maintenance or water treatment.

Relaxing In Simple Silver Spa Pool

Step 1 - Decontamination Process

  • There is no need to drain or change the water in your hot tub unless you were using bromine.
  • Place the simplesilver™ tablet anywhere into your hot tub water.
  • Removing any contamination may take about a week, but after that, you’ll have crystal clear and clean, odour-free water for the next year!

Step 2 - Filter Pump Set-up

A. You need to set your filter pump timer to operate daily. To set this up, see our Controller Adjustments Section.

  • Remember:
    • Turn the filter pump onto automatic mode
    • Turn off the sleep timer
    • Turn off holiday mode
    • Turn off energy-saving mode
    • Make sure to open all jet heads and water features

B. ONCE THE FILTER PUMP HAS BEEN SET, DON’T USE YOUR HOT TUB FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS

C. CLEAN THE FILTERS USING A CARTRIDGE CLEANER SANITISING SOLUTION EVERY 2 DAYS OVER THIS 7 DAY PERIOD

  • What's going on in my hot tub during this 7 day period?
    • As the filter pump circulates water over the simplesilver™ tablet, the minerals are distributed into the hot tub at a constant and controlled rate.
    • It then takes a little time for the correct level of minerals to be dispensed into the water to effectively control the pH, alkalinity, total dissolved solids, scale, corrosion and bacteria.
    • During the first week, any existing contaminants are precipitated out into the water (it might turn grey! – but don’t panic – that’s simplesilver™ doing its job). These contaminants are removed by the filters and then by you cleaning these.

Step 3 - Use the Hot Tub

After the seventh day:

  • Your hot tub water should be in the same condition as the water in our "Introduction Video". If your hot tub water is crystal-clear, clean and odourless, you’re good to go - enjoy the hot tub!
  • If your hot tub water is not crystal-clear or if it has an odour, things are not right! Please refer to our section on troubleshooting.

Repeat Users

Since your hot tub will already be clear of contaminants, all you have to do is put in a new simplesilver™ tablet. That’s it! You’re done for another year. Now, just sit back and relax.

However, you might like to change the water and replace your filters before you put in the new simplesilver™ tablet. Your filters are an integral part of water treatment process and have a finite life of between 12–18 months, after which they will saturate and will no longer be effective.

Controller Adjustments

  • For simplesilver™ to operate correctly, you need to set your filter circulation pump to operate daily.
  • It is critical that your filter pump circulates between 80-100,000 litres of water daily.
  • This ensures that the correct quantity of simplesilver™ ingredients are distributed into the hot tub to effectively control and balance the waters pH, alkalinity, total dissolved solids, scale, corrosion and bacteria levels.
  • It is also vitally important that the filter pump operates daily so that this correct volume of hot tub water can be turned over and passed through the filters to maintain the water condition and clarity. This filtration process removes any skin, perspiration, oils, lotions, hair, water salts, dust, dirt and any other foreign matter from the water.

Find your hot tub controller and set-up process from the list below.

  1. If you don't see your hot tub controller listed below?
  2. Don't have the hot tub manual?
  3. Or you don't know the filter pump flow rate or need to understand how to calculate this see our help section.

Hotsprings

NOTE: ISSUES WITH THIS SPA POOL

Hotspring Spa Pools have small 24 hour filter circulation pumps. Unfortunately these pumps do not circulate enough water to distribute the correct quantity of simplesilver ingredients into the pool to control the bacterial levels.

Should you still wish to use simplesilver to balance and control the pH, alkalinity, scale and corrosion, you will need to use a small amount of chlorine daily (about a tablespoon) to assist with the control of bacteria.

Alternatively you would need to manually operate the larger massage jet pump at least once a day to get the correct volume of water flowing over the simplesilver tablet. Or have your electrician fit a simple time clock to operate this pump daily.

Otherwise take the simplesilver tablet and packaging back within 60 days and receive a full refund.
